The Pocket Paper Engineer, Volume 2: Platforms and Props: How to Make Pop-Ups Step-by-Step

By Carol Barton
ISBN-10: 0962775223
ISBN-13: 978-0962775222

Carol Barton’s labor of love, The Pocket Paper Engineer, is a real shining example of how the intricate can be spelled out in a simple manner. And when I call this Carol’s “labor of love” I really mean it. She put lots of work into this project.

If you have always loved pop-up books and cards, or if you are looking for something as a sustainable hobby for yourself or even to share with your family, then I recommend this book for you. It is full of colorful and fun projects for the crafts lover. It is also good, in my opinion, for school art classes.

I have to be honest, when I agreed to give this book the once over I didn’t read carefully that this was Volume II, but at the end of the day this didn’t matter. The instructions are carefully spelled out for absolute beginners as well as information about all of the tools that will be needed.

Whether you are a seasoned professional artist and would like some more technical ideas or whether you are an absolute beginner, I think there is something for you in The Pocket Paper Engineer.
